Having been close to a move to AC Milan, alongside Lille teammate Sven Botman, the French champions have interrupted the move, expressing their interest in the Portuguese prospect. Luis Campos, the new sporting director at PSG, was the man to bring Sanches to Ligue 1, during his stint as the Lille sporting director.
It has recently been reported that the two Portuguese are in direct contact over a move to the capital. Should talks be successful, Sanches would become Luis Campos’ first signing, alongside compatriot Vitinha.
Despite the promising start to his career and his €35m transfer from Benfica to Bayern Munich, Sanches found himself loaned to Swansea for the 2017/18 season, before his move to France reignited his prospects. The Euro 2016 winner will be keen to progress further with the French champions, who, unlike his current team Lille, will be playing Champions League football next season.
