Moyes has been linked with few jobs since then, but a return to Everton was mooted earlier this month with Marco Silva, the Toffees manager, under real pressure.
The links have died down since last weekend as Silva eased the pressure with a defeat of West Ham, but another downturn in results could see the Portuguese sacked.
