Trent Alexander-Arnold gets assist for winning goal on 100th appearance for Liverpool, becomes fourth youngest player at club to reach landmark
The 21-year-old defender has been a regular for Jurgen Klopp over the past two seasons.
He made it a century of games against Aston Villa at Villa Park as he was named in the starting line-up for the match.
And Alexander-Arnold played a crucial role in helping the Reds claim a dramatic 2-1 win by providing the assist for Sadio Mane’s stoppage-time winner.
Despite only recently turning 21, he is already a Champions League winner with the Reds and lost in another final.
Alexander-Arnold’s senior Liverpool debut came in a 2-1 win against Tottenham in the fourth round of the Carabao Cup in October 2016.
Nathaniel Clyne’s injury at the start of the 2017/18 season gave him the opportunity as a first-team regular and he has not looked back since then.
He was named as Liverpool’s young player of the season in 2016/17 and 2017/18.
The England international was also runner-up for the Golden Boy award in 2018 and was in the Premier League team of the year for last season.
