La Perla emphasizing men’s wear offerings

New York – With men’s wear being the fashion focus of 2015, La Perla had to make sure
that they were keeping up with the times. La Perla’s newly redesigned store
on Madison Avenue has a much stronger focus on their men’s wear offerings.
The stores first floor now boasts a small selection of men’s swimwear and
ready-to-wear, while their second floor offers more men’s shoes, sleepwear,
and underwear.

The Italian-based fashion company is famous for their lingerie, but, given
the recent explosion of the men’s wear market they have decided to increase
their men’s wear offerings. For those looking for a pair of stylish graphic
print boxers, La Perla is just the place. In their attempt to get bigger
slice of the men’s wear pie the brand’s spring/summer 2015 campaign hired
Richard Biedul to be the first male protagonist of one of their ad
campaigns.

The brand has yet to elaborate on how else they will work to improve their
men’s wear offerings, but, it looks like they are on the right track to
bring in more male customers. Last year in 2014, La Perla held their first
ever men’s wear catwalk show at Pitti Uomo. The luxury brand is certainly
in a growing period, and it will be interesting to see how they continue to
expand in the men’s wear category.
