Were Tottenham in relegation form under Mauricio Pochettino? Alternative Premier League table for the calendar year 2019
Liverpool are currently eight points clear at the top of the table as they bid to win their first league title in 30 years.
It’s not going so well for teams like Tottenham, who struggled to find form this term, and have now sacked Mauricio Pochettino.
In fact, Spurs have not won an away match in the top flight since they beat Fulham 2-1 on January 20.
It’s worryingly bad form for a club looking to finish in the top four and former manager Harry Redknapp told talkSPORT that they have been in ‘relegation form for a year‘.
Redknapp added: “They’ve been on such a terrible run, especially in away games. They never win away.
“A couple of years back when they had Kyle Walker and Danny Rose at full-back, they were absolutely destroying teams with their pace down the sides and Eriksen pulling the strings in midfield, but they don’t look anywhere near the same team at the moment.
“They’ve been very disappointing. I’m not sure where they’ll finish.”
