How Jose Mourinho has fared against former clubs as Tottenham boss prepares for Chelsea showdown

Mourinho was given his marching orders by Manchester United on December 18, 2018 as he struggled to get the best out of the team.

His search for another managerial post went on longer than expected but he finally got a new job last month.

And he’s made a very good start at Spurs, winning four of his opening five Premier League matches in the dugout.

His only league defeat did come at United though which would have been a tough one to take.

Mourinho comes up against another of his former clubs on Sunday, as Spurs entertain Chelsea.

Spurs can actually overtake the Blues in the Premier League table if they get the win.

But perhaps the feeling of getting one over on the club that sacked him four years ago will mean more to Mourinho.

This got us thinking at talkSPORT.com about how Mourinho’s fared against clubs he used to be in charge of.
