Charlotte Speaks on Her Dental Surgery, Facing Asuka at WrestleMania 34, more

— Charlotte Flair recently spoke to Robbie Fox of Barstoolsports.com on a number of topics.
Some highlights are below.

— She touched on her recent dental surgery and said it happened at the worst time of the year. WWE kept her off TV because her face was swollen and she was “talking funny” from her stitches. She confirmed that she was always cleared to wrestle and will be back this week on Smackdown.

— She said the Mixed Match Challenge has been great as she has always been very serious on Smackdown and Raw, but on the Mixed Match Challenge, she is able to be a bit more playful and also Bobby Roode brings out a different side of her character.

— Robbie asked her if she knew if Asuka was going to pick her as an opponent at WrestleMania when the two were standing in the ring at the Royal Rumble along with Alexa Bliss. Charlotte said she didn’t know at that time and was standing there and hoping that the writing team was going to have Asuka pick her. Even when Ronda Rousey’s music hits, Charlotte says she still felt like she had to be Asuka’s opponent.

— She went on to say that she heard rumblings that she would be facing at Asuka at Royal Rumble but didn’t know for sure until Fastlane.

— She was then asked why she wanted to face Asuka so bad. Charlotte said due to the respect she has from the WWE Universe and she’s different. For her, Charlotte said she’s never faced Asuka even in NXT or in a tag team situation.

— She spoke a little bit about being part of Triple H’s entrance at WrestleMania 30 and now she’s wrestling in one of the biggest matches at WrestleMania 34 and she’s very thankful and very fortunate where she is today.

— They talked a little bit about the women’s revolution and how there are multiple matches involving women at WrestleMania, with two singles matches, the battle royal and the mixed tag team match.

— She was asked by her wrestling gear for WrestleMania 34. She said she already has it and it’s pretty much always the same. But the entire look and robe is very much inspired Triple H’s entrance.

— She ended the interview by saying she is looking forward to the AJ Styles vs. Shinsuke Nakamura match the most as AJ is one of her closest friends and Shinsuke is someone she has gotten to know very well lately too.
