WWE Raising PPV Prices?, McMahon & WWE HD Update, New WWE Talent

– It will be interesting to see if WWE makes any changes to their pay-per-view pricing. When WWE made the decision to go from $34.95 to $39.95 they did it because they did not want to look “cheaper” than the UFC. UFC has recently raised their prices to $44.95 so one can only wonder if WWE will follow suit and raise their prices to keep the pace.

– Since WWE’s move to High Definition, there have been numerous complaints from cable customers whose company’s do not offer the USA Network or Sci-Fi Channel in HD. Cablevision, the cable provider that services the Greenwich, CT area including the McMahon family mansion, does not carry the channels. While McMahon could obviously get the chancels via satellite, he couldn’t be happy that his own cable provider does not offer the channels.

– A popular independent wrestler that works primarily in the Carolinas under the name Janus has been telling friends that he has signed a developmental deal with WWE and will begin training in Florida Championship Wrestling in Tampa soon. Janus is said to have a tremendous look as he is an African-American with the stature of Bobby Lashley. He received his training in Virginia Championship Wrestling and has been on the indy circuit for about a year.
