Becky Lynch Takes Shot at “Enhanced” WWE Women Amidst Controversial Body Remarks

WWE star Becky Lynch recently conducted an in-character interview with Gorilla Position after turning heel at WWE SummerSlam, and below is what Lynch had to say on her match and subsequent actions at the PPV this past Sunday.

“I don’t understand what people are saying to me when they say ‘well done’, because I went in there with the intention of winning the title, and I currently do not have the title. And I have been burning a hole through the women’s division on Smackdown Live for the past few months, and then Charlotte shows up, she gets handed a title opportunity and as opportunistic as ever, when I had that match won, she snuck in and she stole my victory from me and one more time she gets handed the gold, and I’m left on the sidelines.”

Later in the interview, Lynch questioned why she has been overlooked in the WWE Women’s division, and wondered if it had to do with her appearance.

“Is it because I’m not blonde enough? Is that it? Is it because I don’t have enough enhancements? Is that it? I’m treated like the red-headed stepchild of the entire women’s division.”

The comments made by Lynch come on the heels of journalist Dave Meltzer being criticised by fans on social media and WWE stars for remarks made about Peyton Royce’s appearance.

Following her rant on Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch took aim at other women on the WWE roster, firing shots at Ronda Rousey and Alexa Bliss when asked about the buzz surrounding the upcoming WWE Evolution PPV.

“I created an atmosphere where [WWE Evolution] was possible. I did it. I made it possible, but who is on the front cover of that? It’s Charlotte, and it’s Ronda Rousey and it’s Alexa Bliss. Like I said – is it – did I just not bleach my hair enough?”
