Milan Škriniar: “Yes, it’s true, I’ve signed with PSG.”
Paris Saint-Germain are finally close to acquiring the services of Slovakian international and Inter Milan captain Milan Škriniar. According to a report from Fabrizio Romano, the player has agreed personal terms with Les Parisiens, and now awaits confirmation of a deal between the clubs.
The 27-year-old centre-back will be a free agent in June of this year, but PSG are keen to sign him in January, and a confirmed deal is expected soon. Inter reportedly want €20m to free him from his contract early.

With a tough clash against Bayern Munich in the Champions League on the horizon (February 14th and March 8th), the Ligue 1 leaders will hope to employ the Slovakian at the heart of their defence alongside Marquinhos. Škriniar has a decent record in the Italian top flight so far this season, appearing in all but one of their 20 league games – a yellow card suspension prohibited his inclusion in Inter’s 2-1 win over Cremonese yesterday. He has worn the armband for ten of his 19 appearances for I Nerazzurri and has six clean sheets.
His move to France will be a big blow for the 2020/21 Serie A Champions. They currently sit second in the league behind Napoli, who could increase their lead over the Milan side to 13 points this weekend. They play Roma in the Derby del Sole this evening (kick-off 7:45pm).
