PSG confident on boosting frontline with €35 million offer for Gianluca Scamacca

As reported by Foot Mercato, the Paris Saint-Germain hierarchy are confident in securing the signature of Gianluca Scamacca (23), offering a sum of €35 million plus bonuses to Serie A outfit US Sassuolo.

The price tag falls below Sassuolo’s €50m valuation. Despite this, the situation is progressing well and Paris Saint-Germain are very confident in concluding the deal. With the Neroverdi finishing 11th in Serie A last season, Scamacca has enjoyed a fine season with 16 goals in 36 Italian league games.

The young Italian forward has been highlighted by the incumbent Luis Campos who has recently been involved in the Parisian side’s latest transfer movements. The intention with Scamacca is to strengthen their attacking options as a  replacement for the out-of-favour Mauro Icardi (29). 

It was Earlier this month reported by Sky Sports Italia that talks started between Sassuolo and Paris Saint-Germain for the former Rennes and Marseille target. Meanwhile for US Sassuolo, Lorient’s U21 French international Armand Laurienté (23) has been sounded out as a replacement for the capital-bound Scamacca – according to Ingazio Genuardi.
