PLAYER RATINGS | Angers 0-3 PSG, title party has to wait for Paris despite simple win

Ligue 1 21/22, Round 33 – 20/4/22

ANGERS – 0

Anthony Mandrea, 6 – He perhaps could be blamed for Mbappé’s opener having got a touch to a powerful shot that whizzed more through him than past him but he made up for it with a handful of smart stops including one snap low save from Mbappé in the second half.

Abdoulaye Bamba, 3

Enzo Ebosse, 3

Ismaël Traoré, 2 – Angers are far from safe but their captain played like this was a last day of the season jaunt to midtable obscurity, often all but waving Mbappé through and neglecting his marking responsibilities at corners. Between he and Thomas’ lazy defending, Angers could have been humiliated.

Romain Thomas, 2

Souleyman Doumbia, 4

Nabil Bentaleb, 4

Azzedine Ounahi, 5

Angelo Fulgini, 3

Mohamed-Ali Cho, 5

Casimir Ninga, 4 – The Chad international was a first half sub for the injured Boufal and added a degree of pace for the middle third of the game that helped create a handful of openings before the break but he faded in the second half.

Others: Boufal 5, Capelle 5, Jakolis 5, Mangani 5, Mendy 5.

PSG – 3 (Mbappé 28, Ramos 45, Marquinhos 77)

Keylor Navas, 5

Sergio Ramos, 6 – There was little threat for him to worry about overall in truth but Ramos defended with his typical physicality and aggression and effectively sealed the points with a deftly headed second goal just before half time.

Thilo Kehrer, 5

Marquinhos, 5

Achraf Hakimi, 4

Juan Bernat, 4

Danilo Pereira, 6

Georginio Wijnaldum, 5

Éric Junior Dina Ebimbe, 5

Ángel Di María, 6

Kylian Mbappé, 7 – By far the standout player despite not really hitting his stride. Even so, his direct run and powerful shot opened the scoring and he provided the game’s highlight as he shimmied by Traoré only to be halted by Mandrea. His pace and skill were far too good for Angers, and the game as a whole.

Others: Michut 3, Gueye 5, Mendes 5, Bitshiabu 5, Simons 5.
