Xavi Simons likely to leave PSG
RMC Sport report today that several youth players could be set to leave Paris Saint-Germain, including the highly-rated Xavi Simons and Édouard Michut.
Despite their impressive Youth League performances, the majority of the PSG youth products on professional contracts are pushing to leave the club. For example, the likes of Nathan Bitumazala or Teddy Alloh, who also train with the first team.
Midfielder Michut’s agent will hold a meeting with the club to discuss the second half of the season before a decision is made – with those close to him not understanding why a youth academy product like himself is not being considered as a full-fledged squad player.
As for Xavi Simons, who is out of contract in June, a departure looks likely. The 18-year-old has been part of first-team matchday squads but has yet to get minutes this season, with the Spanish press pointing to a Barcelona return. Defender El Chadaille Bitshiabu could move on loan, with Angers interested in picking him up.
The club is also looking to tie down a number of their 2004-born players to their first professional contracts, including Ismaël Gharbi and Ayman Kari.
Massinissa Oufella, Alexandre Fressange and Bandiougou Fadiga are all looking to leave the club in January, having received no playing time whatsoever.
