Johnny Gargano Will NOT Be Cleared to Compete at NXT Takeover: WarGames

Johnny Gargano is not cleared to compete, and has been officially ruled out of WWE Survivor Series weekend.

The news was first broken by Ryan Satin on Tuesday night’s edition of WWE Backstage on FS1, and immediately confirmed by WWE.com. The listed reason is an undisclosed neck injury, but they are playing it off as a result of Finn Balor’s attack two weeks ago on NXT.

This means that Gargano will not be participating in any of the tri-brand battles at Survivor Series, nor will he be competing in a match against Balor at NXT Takeover: WarGames the night before.
