As reported by Foot Mercato, PSG’s Argentine striker Mauro Icardi has no plans to leave this summer despite the club signalling they want him to be sold this window.

The 29-year-old former Inter Milan and Sampdoria striker was included on a list of 11 players the Paris club wanted to sell this off-season under new sporting directors Luis Campos and Antero Henrique. Juventus and Monza have been reportedly interested in the striker this summer, but the player remains at the Ligue 1 club where he has two years left on his current deal. A yearly wage of €12m makes his exit tricky for all concerned.
While other high profile names were left at home, Icardi was still included in the PSG squad for the pre-season tour of Japan, coming off the bench Paris’ first game, and Icardi has no desire to move on despite the arrival of fellow striker Hugo Ekitike and the club’s pursuit of Gianluca Scamacca of Sassuolo.
Roma are the latest club to be interested, Campos speaking with coach Jose Mourinho directly, but Icardi isn’t interested in the move, especially given that it would lower his salary.
