Three Marseille youth players sacked amid allegations of insurance fraud

As reported by RMC, three Marseille youth players were sacked in January amid allegations of insurance fraud.

The outlet reports that, via another individual and probably a degree of naivety on the part of the three young players, false claims were made to an insurance company affiliated with Marseille, who noticed an anomaly and alerted the club.

The three players, one of which had signed a pro deal with the club, were all 19-years-old, although none had trained with Jorge Sampaoli’s first team this season. They are, however, considering filing a complaint against the fourth party who exploited their insurance.
