Official | Alexander Djiku completes move to SM Caen

SM Caen have completed the signing of French defender Alexander Djiku from Bastia for €1.8m, with further add-ons.

Djiku has signed a four-year deal with the club and will return to Ligue 1 after Bastia’s relegation last term.

The 22-year-old can be utilised in just about any defensive role, having appeared at left-back, right-back and centre-back for the Turchini in recent times.

It is believed that the money received from the transfer will save Bastia from the administrative relegation which would have taken them down to the third division.
