Marseille enter into informal discussions with Valère Germain
Marseille Sporting Director Andoni Zubizarreta has opened informal talks with AS Monaco striker Valère Germain’s entourage, according to L’Équipe.
A meeting has occurred at the Marseille training centre and Germain is someone that Zubizarreta likes because of his dribbling and movement abilities. OM are also looking to make an offer for Bafétimbi Gomis who is currently on loan from Swansea.
OM made an attempt for Germain last year, but Monaco turned them down. The 27-year-old likes the idea of wearing the shirt of his father, Bruno, who was at Marseille between 1988 and 1991:
“I am from Marseille, it is a club that I like. Why not, if the project is interesting.”
These were Germain’s words in a recent interview with RMC.
Could a deal be done? It is not like Germain has been guaranteed playing time with AS Monaco this season…
