Tom Davies relishing Steven Gerrard comparison and wants to do for Everton what Anfield icon did for Liverpool

Anfield icon Gerrard is seen as one of the best players in Liverpool’s history, largely because of the impact he had in helping to guide the Reds to silverware.

He was instrumental in Liverpool’s Champions League win in 2005, helping to inspire one of the greatest comebacks in European football history, and also almost single-handedly won the Reds the FA Cup final in 2006 against West Ham, which many still refer to as the ‘Gerrard Final’.

And talkSPORT host Adrian Durham recently made the bold claim that Davies can replicate his influence in Everton’s blue.

Speaking on Drivetime, he said: “You know what he is, Tom Davies? He is Everton’s opportunity to produce their own Steven Gerrard.
