Cardiff and Birmingham fined by Football Association after melee during Championship encounter
The Championship duo have been charged with failing to control their players during the November 2 encounter at the Cardiff City Stadium.
The Bluebirds were slapped with a £5,000 fine while Birmingham got a £7,500 one, after both clubs admitted the charge.
The south Wales side have accepted the standard penalty, but the Blues have requested a hearing.
The sanctions relate to an incident that occurred towards the end of the match in question.
Birmingham defender Harlee Dean was shown a red card in the third minute of added time for elbowing Joe Ralls, who scored a hat-trick in Cardiff’s 4-2 victory, in an aerial duel.
