In The Wake Of Heightening Tensions, Pakistani Actors Call For Peace Between India & Pakistan With A Rap

Culture is a great unifying force between nations and people. And there’s no better example than India and Pakistan, which were once one nation and shared similar art. As tensions between India and Pakistan are at an all-time high after the Pulwama attack and Balakot airstrike, people from both the countries are calling for peace and urging their respective governments to maintain harmony.

Veteran Pakistani actress and comedian Bushra Ansari has come up with her own version of a peace anthem and it’s shot in a kitchen. The rap song is titled as Humsaye Maa Jaye and is being written by Neelum Ahmad Bashir, it’s been sung by Bushra Ansari and Asma Abbas.

The song features the two women as neighbours separated by a stone wall; with Asma playing a woman from Pakistan and Bushra as Indian.
