Roll A Dice And Find Out The Election Process: How Rajasthan Is Using ‘Snakes And Ladders’ Ahead Of Polls

Residents in Indian rural states, especially villages are oblivious to the country’s electoral process or political parties. Due to this, the voter turnout in remote areas remains low.

The administration in Rajasthan’s Barmer district has found a creative way of engaging its residents in the election process. Remember our school days, when we used to roll a dice on a cardboard and play ‘Snakes and Ladders’? The administration is pretty much using the 90s game to create awareness ahead of polls.

The game has been organised on a 1,600 square feet board to create awareness and ensure that they participate in the elections that are scheduled to start from 7 December 2018, the Hindustan Times reported. The rules of the game remain the same just that its implications will be different.
