Jurgen Klopp press conference: Liverpool boss has sympathy for Marco Silva after Everton sacking, discusses squad rotation and Divock Origi form

The Portuguese coach was given his marching orders on Thursday with Everton in the Premier League relegation zone.

Silva guided Everton to just four wins in their opening 15 Premier League games of the season, despite spending big on new players in the summer.

But Liverpool boss Klopp said: “I feel for him. Since I’m in England, Everton, how we all know, are an ambitious club with a big history.

“Marco is 100 per cent an outstanding coach and manager. For sure it is not his fault but they thought they needed a change and that’s the position of a manager. We all accept that.”

Liverpool, meanwhile, will be looking to maintain their unbeaten league start when they travel to Bournemouth on Saturday.
