Robbie Lyle and AFTV gang respond to angry Arsenal protesters – ‘It’s amazing what drugs can do at 6am!’

Lyle required a police escort out of Goodison Park after Gunners vented their discontent with the channel after the dreary encounter at Goodison Park.

The media outlet, famous for its public criticism of the team, has been held responsible by many for creating a toxic atmosphere at the club.

However, Lyle has responded by questioning the fans’ decision to focus their attention on his station rather than bring about positivity following Mikel Arteta’s appointment as manager.

In the latest YouTube clip posted by AFTV, he said: “Merry Christmas to those guys who wasted their time. You know what there’s about ten or 15 of them who have been piping up from inside the ground, trying to get songs going. I just don’t understand it.

“[Mikel] Arteta’s in the stands. We’re on the verge of a new era. You’d have thought those fans would have loved to get behind the team instead of wasting their time.”
