Orton Shoots on Recent Concussion, Update on Lawler/Lita

Randy Orton P*ssed Off Over Recent Concussion
Randy Orton recently sat down with USA Today’s For The Win, where he discussed his in-ring career, filming Netflix’s ‘Shooter’ and the concussion he suffered at the hands of Brock Lesnar.
“I think with Lesnar, it’s always going to be him coming in every few months as a monster who destroys guys who work 200 days a year. There is a tendency for that to get old. I could have looked a little better that night and that would have helped me a lot regardless of the finish and not hurt Brock’s character at all. But the fact that you’re asking me about it three-four months later, means we created a buzz. But the fact that I had a concussion and was out for three weeks and wasn’t able to do anything p*ssed me off”

“We say this a lot in the back when someone gets hit harder than intended, we knew what we were signing up for. It’s a rough sport. It’s a rough business and very physical. A few more people need to respect how things can go sour out there.”

Update on Jerry Lawler’s and Lita’s WWE Status
As has been previously reported, both Jerry ‘The King’ Lawler’ and Lita were removed from all WWE Network pre-show panels prior to this weeks Raw and SmackDown!. Both have gone on to sign Legends Contracts, but as of writing will no longer be used in any roles in the foreseeable future.
The reasoning behind the decision to remove Lawler from weekly WWE programming is believed to be his age. For quite some time, a criticism aimed at Lawler has been him simply going through the motions and relying on his name to get by. Once the WWE decided to remove him as an announcer on Raw and move him to SmackDown!, his announcing did indeed improve. However many inside the WWE believe that the company had always intended to slowly remove Lawler from WWE programming. Once he was moved to the pre-show panels after being removed from SmackDown!, it was only a matter of time, in many peoples eyes, before The King was removed altogether.

Lawler and Lita may still be used for promotional appearances with the company, with WWE releasing a statement confirming that The King would host next years Hall of Fame ceremony. As of writing, however, Lita is all but completely gone from the company
