Even More On Carlito Leaving WWE, Bret Hart's Book In The US, WWE Crowds

Source: Wrestling Observer Newsletter

– WWE is trying to persuade Carlito into staying with the company. As we have been reporting for several weeks, Carlito gave his notice to management and let them know that he would be leaving the company in a couple of weeks. To play it safe WWE has buried the Carlito character on television the past couple of weeks but according to one backstage source, the last thing WWE wants is for another big name superstar to end up in TNA. Carlito has been upset with his standing in the company for nearly a year.

– It does not look like WWE will get the United States rights to Bret Hart’s autobiography. Published by Random House for the Canadian release, the book was number one amongst all books in Canada for two weeks and fell to number two in its third week out. The highly acclaimed book is the first ever wrestling book that will be nominated for a mainstream book award.

– WWE live events saw bigger crowds than normal over Thanksgiving weekend as holiday weekends are traditionally much easier to draw bigger crowds.
