Impact Wrestling Reportedly “Scrambling” To Sign Top Star Not Currently Under Contract

Apparently, women’s wrestling powerhouse Jordynne Grace isn’t actually under contract with Impact Wrestling, despite performing for the promotion and being featured as a prominent star on television over the past seven months.

Last October, PWInsider.com reported that Grace had been offered a two-year deal following her debut at the post-Bound for Glory television tapings in New York.

It was assumed at the time that she had taken the deal, but now the same outlet is reporting that, for reasons still unknown, not only is Grace NOT signed with the promotion, but Impact officials are now “scrambling” to lock her down.

Grace has been making her way up the independent ladder for some time now, but really took off after her stand-out performance in last year’s ALL IN Over Budget Battle Royal. She is also the current reigning PROGRESS Women’s Champion.

This is certainly an interesting time for one of women’s wrestling’s top prospects to suddenly find herself a free agent. She has been heavily featured on Impact, coming out of a Knockouts Championship match at their last pay-per-view, but technically if she never signed on the dotted line, she should be legally free to show up wherever she wanted to — including a certain Las Vegas pay-per-view taking place next Saturday night.
