THE SHIELD’S FAREWELL ADDRESS

We kick start tonight’s episode of WWE Raw with The Shield, who last night had their ‘last-ever’ match at WWE Fastlane, and are now set to address their futures. Roman Reigns starts things off, by saying he has realized recently that life is short, and that if last night was the last time ever, he has no regrets.

Roman says he feels that way because he was doing what he loves, with people he loves and for that, he will be forever grateful. Roman says we are on the Road To WrestleMania, and if there are three men that need to handle their business it is them. Reigns then added that he wants his first singles match since coming back tonight.

Roman then adds that Ambrose has got some business and whilst they don’t know what that is, that’s why they love him. Reigns states that the man with the most business is Seth Rollins, which sparks a big “Slay the Beast” chant.

Reigns says that is exactly what Seth is going to do, and when he does the whole world will chant “Burn It Down.” The three men then hug it out, hit the classic Shield pose and Roman and Dean leave with Seth still in the ring, bringing an end to The Shield’s brief reunion.

However, Paul Heyman then arrives as the focus shifts firmly on the upcoming Universal Championship match at WrestleMania 35. Rollins puts over Brock Lesnar for destroying bigger athletes like Big Show and Samoa Joe, but then points out to Heyman that he has struggled against Daniel Bryan, AJ Styles, and Finn Balor.

Seth says it seems that Brock has a bit of a problem against guys with his style and size, saying that he is uniquely suited to beating Lesnar at WrestleMania and that is what he plans on doing.

Heyman says there will be no slaying of the Beast, stating that Lesnar had no time to prepare for any of the opponents that Rollins just listed, which is why the matches weren’t dominated by Lesnar. Heyman then ‘introduces’ Rollins to Brock Lesnar, and a video package of the Beast is shown.

Heyman claims that ever since the Royal Rumble, Brock Lesnar has been preparing for Seth Rollins, stating that Rollins doesn’t know Brock Lesnar and then out of nowhere, Shelton Benjamin appears and hits several suplexes to Rollins, leaving him laying.

Well here’s a Superstar who certainly KNOWS @BrockLesnar…#SDLive‘s @Sheltyb803 has ATTACKED @WWERollins on #RAW!!! @HeymanHustle pic.twitter.com/xG8KezrPJw

SHELTON BENJAMIN vs SETH ROLLINS

Following the beatdown we now have a match with Shelton Benjamin and Seth Rollins, with Heyman on commentary claiming that Benjamin might have offered his own services to him, rather than Heyman asking for Benjamin’s help.

The former SmackDown Live star starts the match dominating Seth, but The Shield member quickly turns things around as the two men go outside the ring with Rollins throwing chops and strikes to Benjamin. As they head back to the ring, Rollins rocks Shelton with an impressive Blockbuster as the WWE Universe firmly gets behind him.

Rollins looks for The Stomp but Benjamin reverses with a suplex, but Rollins lands on his feet and throws Shelton out of the ring, attempting a suicide dive which Benjamin stops by kicking Rollins in the face before he can dive out of the ring.

As we return from commercial, Benjamin continues attacking Rollins, throwing him into the barricade several times as Heyman answers the phone to a mystery person on commentary. Heyman then reveals that Brock Lesnar will be appearing on WWE Raw next week.

In the ring, the action continues as Rollins bounces from the top rope to hit a clothesline to Benjamin. Seth then misses with a superkick and Benjamin quickly sends Seth crashing to the mat with another suplex. Shelton then looked for an F5 but Rollins reverses with several superkicks before hitting The Stomp to get the win.

Winner: Seth Rollins
