Kevin Owens Reveals He Wants to Face His Best Friend at WrestleMania, and It’s Not Sami Zayn
WWE star Kevin Owens, who recently “quit” the company within the Raw storylines, spoke with Chuck Carroll of CBS Local, and during the interview, Owens had the following to say on wanting to face his best friend in WWE at WrestleMania, Finn Balor.
“(Whatever) I would do would lead to me and Finn Bálor at WrestleMania next year, because he and I came to WWE the exact same time. We didn’t know each other before we got there. We became pretty close pretty quickly when we did get to the NXT Performance Center. He’s been my best friend ever since, so I’d love to share the ring with him on that stage in WrestleMania.”
As seen on WWE Raw this week, Owens lost a match to Seth Rollins, and after the bout Owens declared he “quits”, before dropping the mic and leaving the ring. It is unknown how much time, if any, Owens will be of action due to the current storyline, and it remains to be seen who he faces upon returning to the ring. It’s worth noting that Owens is scheduled to team up with Elias to face John Cena and Bobby Lashley at the WWE Super Show-Down event on October 6th, and as of now, that match remains scheduled.
