WATCH: Jerry Lawler Returns to Memphis on Smackdown Live, WWE Continues to Tease Lio Rush on 205 Live
WWE Hall of Famer Jerry ‘The King’ Lawler made his return to the Memphis wrestling scene this evening to interview WWE Champion AJ Styles on Smackdown Live. Of course it wouldn’t be a surprise return from the King without the 68-year-old in full attire, and at least one reference to his rivalry with Andy Kaufman.
The Phenomenal One faces Shinsuke Nakamura in a Last Man Standing match this Sunday at WWE Money in the Bank, live from the Allstate Arena in Chicago, IL. Check out the interview above.
Lio Rush Teased For 205 Live
WWE is continuing to tease the arrival of high-flying sensation and former ROH superstar Lio Rush, who is expected to join the WWE 205 Live roster shortly after Money in the Bank. As noted, plans for the 23-year-old wrestler are for him to play a cocky, “rich playboy” type of character when he finally hits the main roster, which could happen as soon as next Tuesday’s show in Toledo, OH.
