Marseille’s Luis Henrique keen on Flamengo loan

L’Équipe are reporting that Marseille’s Brazilian winger Luis Henrique (20) is keen on a move to his native Brazil in order to reignite his career after an unconvincing start at the Ligue 1 side.

The winger only joined from Brazilian side Três Passos in 2020, but since his arrival in Europe, he has seen game time at at Marseille restricted to a premium. Last season, he made 25 appearances in all competitions and only registered one goal and one assist.

Henrique, therefore, sees a need to leave, at least temporarily, in order to get his promising career back on track. Whilst he has offers from Torino, Nantes and Botafogo at his disposal, L’Équipe believe that the player would prefer a side to Flamengo.

The side have also just wrapped up the signing of Chilean veteran Arturo Vidal (35) from Inter Milan, and are looking to strengthen further. Flamengo currently sit eighth in the Brazilian top flight after 15 gameweeks, and lost Bruno Henrique to an injury last week, which leaves the side searching for attacking reinforcements.

With the player keen on a move, a return to Brazil looks entirely possible for Henrique, who is “seduced” by the idea of bouncing back in his home country.
