Report: WWE Backlash PPV Back On With New Date & Location?, More Changes

As we previously reported, WWE has axed the scheduled Backlash 2019 pay-per-view show scheduled for June 16th in San Diego, California. There are now some new updates on this story.

According to Dave Meltzer of F4WOnline.com, the 6/16 date in San Diego, CA. is back on, however it is now expected to be a non-televised live event.

The 6/7 PPV in Saudi Arabia is currently looked at as “probable, but not 100 percent right now,” according to the longtime Wrestling Observer Newsletter editor. With this being the case, a lot of shows and decisions are currently on hold.

There is still nothing firm regarding whether the 6/8 NXT TakeOver special in San Jose, CA. is still on.

The tentatively scheduled 6/7 WWE live event in Salt Lake City, Utah has been moved to 6/16 and the 6/8 WWE live event in Denver, Colorado was moved to 6/15. The fact that these moves have been made leads one to assume that the Saudi Arabia PPV is on.

As far as the WWE Backlash PPV for 2019, there is talk that the show will go down on 6/23, which is currently listing shows in Spokane, Washington or Abbotsford, British Columbia. The expectation is it will be in Washingon, but not necessarily Spokane.
