Ricochet Stands Up For King of the Ring Underdogs, Hypes This Week’s Matches

With the first round of the 2019 King of the Ring tournament coming to an end this coming week on Monday Night Raw and Smackdown Live, many fans have pencilled in names such as Drew McIntyre or Samoa Joe as the clear front-runners to win it all.

However, it appears that one of WWE’s highest-flying superstars is refusing to be an afterthought in this year’s tournament. Ricochet posted on Twitter this weekend, reminding the fans that he has a pinfall victory over United States Champion AJ Styles, while praising the likes of Mustafa Ali, Cedric Alexander and Buddy Murphy for similar accolades.

Ricochet will take on McIntyre this coming Monday night on Raw, while Ali and Murphy will actually face each other on Tuesday’s Smackdown Live in the last of the opening round matches. Cedric Alexander has already advanced to the quarterfinals with a big win over Sami Zayn.
